Baby Shower for Chenea Pfisterer
August 10
Please join us on August 10th from 10:00 am till noon at the Asbury's home as we celebrate with Chenea' Pfisterer and shower her with gifts to help her prepare for the arrival of her sweet baby girl this fall! We'll enjoy brunch, fellowship, and fun during our time together.

Women's Bible Study Sign-ups
Aug 11 & 25
We are excited to have you join us for this year's Women's Bible Study!
Choose a study that best suits your schedule:
Tuesdays from 3:30-5 p.m. every other week, studying Ezra and Haggai, using Observation-Interpretation-Application (OIA) Or Wednesdays from 9-11:15 a.m. every week, studying Ezra and Nehemiah, using Sarah Ivill's guide, "Ezra and Nehemiah: The Good Hand of Our God is On Us"
Both studies will be held at Oakwood Presbyterian Church (beginning September 10th and 11th) and both will provide childcare. A $20 donation to cover books, copy costs, and childcare is suggested but not required.
Or in Person: At Oakwood on Sunday, August 25th or September 1st.

He was born at 8:05 pm on Monday, July 29th, 8 lbs, 11oz and 21 in. They named him Lucas Burke Griffith. Lucas and his parents are home and doing well!

New Financial Bible Study
September 7
Oakwood is offering a small group biblical financial study scheduled for this fall and taught by Mike and Hillary Sunderland. The study is called " Set Your House in Order" by Compass Financial Ministries. The small group study is a tool to help you plan your estate and manage your current finances. Topics Include: Building a Foundation, Taking Inventory, Providing for Loved Ones, and Leaving a Legacy.
The maximum small group size is 10, so space is limited. The study is suitable for singles or for couples (or even one spouse if the other can't attend).
Study Schedule (Attendance is required at five of the six meetings):

Oct. 12 (Week #3)

Course materials cost is $35 for couples for $25 for singles.

Oakwood Softball
August 12
Let's.....play ball! If you like fun and fellowship, come out and play softball with other Oakwood folks! You are welcome to invite friends (they don't have to be Oakwood friends) as well. We have a game every Monday night at 6:30pm. Our next softball game is Monday, August 12 vs. Faith Baptist at Spring Creek 1, at 6:30 pm. Warm-up starts around 6:00 pm.
