Please continue to pray for our prayer request from July and any new updates below.

Bob Scrivens – Chaplain

“First of all I want to thank everyone for the very tender messages to me and my family at the time of Mary’s death. Truly family and friends are priceless in times like this. It has been a long journey. Mary was in the nursing home for 4 1/2 years and then passed away, very peacefully on June 4 of this year. She loved the Lord Jesus dearly. The praise of Him was something that never left her heart nor fail to be spoken from her lips!  Life goes on for those left behind. I rejoice at opportunities to minister in my new place of residence. I have been praying these last few weeks about what the Lord desires of me. In very simple ways, He has answered: the saying of grace before meals at our table (7 of us), His urging me to ask the CEO if grace could be said prior to a major celebration last Friday. She responded with enthusiasm. Now, starting in September, I have proposed to the CEO that we have a Hymn sing with Hymn stories and Scripture readings for ¾ of an hour on Sunday evenings. Again, she received the suggestion with enthusiastic joy. We have secured the services of a pianist and now must figure out other details. Please pray for this new adventure, that the Lord will move mightily and touch the lives of many. “
