Request for Proposals
Research on Labour Market Impacts of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program

In on-going discussions with various government departments we have emphasised the potential benefits of supporting programs of research. Employment and Social Development Canada has launched an RFP for two research programs that will focus on the impacts of temporary foreign workers; successful applicants will have a budget of up to $80,000 over a two-year period.

The RFP can be found here: https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-notice/PW-19-00875503

The government RFP process includes requirements that are likely unfamiliar to university researchers and it is often found that important aspects of submissions from academics are either incomplete or missing altogether. We therefore encourage interested parties to contact Grant Gibson, CRDCN Assistant Research Program Director, with draft copies of their proposals --grant.gibson@crdcn.org. He will support applicants by ensuring that their submissions are complete.

CRDCN promotes collaborative research programs through our social media (Twitter, and Facebook), through our newsletter the Networker (Register), and also through updates to the news section of our website (crdcn.org). We expect to provide other collaborative research opportunities in the coming years that will interest researchers across disciplines and fields of study.
