Dear Families,

On August 18, after worship, the children of RE will host a bake sale in support of the Families Together Project. If your family would like to contribute a baked good to the event, please let us know here so we can plan.

Even if you don't sign-up, all donations welcome at the sale!

Everyone, please bring your sweet tooth and loads of cash to help make this a successful event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Religious Exploration Coordinator

This Sunday, Please Welcome Our New Accompanist, LuAnn Higgs. LuAnn is an experienced pianist, having performed sacred music in a variety of religious communities. We are excited to have her join us for worship.

I'll be returning from parental leave this week! It's been a wonderful time for the three of us to adjust to our new life and to have extended visits with family. I'm looking forward to catching up with all of you and introducing you to Myrtille.  She'll have lots of new people to meet so we'll be slowly bringing her to more activities and bigger crowds. You can imagine how overwhelming a whole church full of new faces must be for a baby! My return to church will be part-time for the first two weeks, and then I'll be working 80% time. There will be a lot for me to catch up on, and I appreciate your patience as I get back into the swing of things. The best way to reach me will be email (revmclean@uudavis.org) and be aware it may take more time to respond.  I'm always available by appointment. A reminder that emails sent during my leave will not be delivered, so if there's something from the past few months you'd like to share with me, please resend it! See you soon!

Dear Friends at the UU Church of Davis,

Redbud Montessori is celebrating its 35th year in operation this year on your bucolic grounds. We have shared our space with gratitude and value our relationship with you. One of Redbud’s definitive benefits is exploring the “forest,” hills and gullies that surround us and watching all the changes with each season.

We joined together to fight a flood and build a bridge. Redbud looks forward to many more years of continued friendship.

Sincerely, Karen Gill, Director
