For eight years The Beehive International, Inc. has labored in the vineyard of Haiti. While we are very thankful for all the Lord has led us to accomplish, we are just now reaching the “point of it all”. Our goal has been to use Christ’s methods in reaching the masses: feeding the hungry, housing the orphans, creating jobs, conducting medical, vision and dental clinics to serve the sick and our community. We have been hard at work building our infrastructure to allow us to house and feed our workers and have a place for them to sleep.
Now in just two weeks—August 13 to September 1—Our total purpose is about to materialize.
With the aid of four young men from the N.A.P.S. organization (National Association for the Prevention of Starvation) and our ‘just arrived’ missionary couple Joe and Lisa, we will conduct our FIRST evangelistic series. The N.A.P.S. team will include 20 Bible workers that will be canvassing our Bohoc community every day handing out books, literature and giving Bible studies. The Beehive will have a 10-person team working together to provide the outdoor auditorium and support staff for this event.
Our vineyard is ripe for the harvest. The presence of The Beehive here has created jobs for 100’s of men and women. Our VBS classes have paved the way for adult Bible study. 331 children attended our closing VBS program in March of this year while adults were attending natural remedy classes. Our countless medical clinics have taught our community we can be trusted and are here to help for the long-term. Now is the time to give them the gospel message.
Can you help us? We need dollars to support our workers and evangelistic team with food and transportation. We have the opportunity to give out 100’s of Bibles. We will want to feed our “guests” at least at the close of our meetings. The children that will attend need to have their own VBS style of meetings, which could really benefit from supplies, snacks, and juice boxes for example.
