Dear Friends,

Next week I will join around ten thousand people in Chicago for the Global Leadership Summit (GLS). In the months following, more than 400,000 leaders from in excess of 130 nations will attend the GLS, including 6000 here in Australia.  I cant help but reflect on how critical leadership is to the health and growth of God's church. 

Just last week Newlife was blessed to host Craig Groeschel, champion of Global Leadership Summit.  More than 800 leaders were deeply impacted as we shared in the privilege of hosting this important event, an expression of God's call for us to be a lighthouse church.

Very soon we have another opportunity to serve as a lighthouse church through Propel Conference. I would love you to join us in this journey. Let me share how.

PROPEL CONFERENCE | 27 - 29 AUGUST

INVITATION TO ATTEND
 Living out God’s call to be a lighthouse community Newlife will host four major conferences through 2019.The third of these events - Propel Conference - is perhaps the most important. 
Propel is a gathering of 150-200 leaders (maybe more) from across the Uniting Church, & from right around Australia.
 Propel will focus positively and passionately on seeking renewal in our church through 

1. evangelism, 
2. discipleship, 
3. church planting and 
4. leadership development.   

The conference is for church leaders &  is open to all who would like to attend. It will seek to inspire, encourage and equip attendees. It will be a time to learn together from practitioners, enjoy worship together and have plenty of time to network as we share great food and coffee.  

INVITATION TO CELEBRATE 

Newlife's Lighthouse calling is a celebration of God's grace to us. We invite all who call Newlife home to celebrate with us during the Propel Conference on Tuesday evening from 7 pm.  Stu will be launching the vision of Propel Network and we will worship and celebrate with others from around Australia the exciting new network which God is calling us to. 

INVITATION TO CONTRIBUTE

Propel conference will need at various times some additional help.  We would love to hear from you if you could spare some time to assist with the following: 

• Tuesday 27th from 5-6  pm - we need 3-6  people to assist in setting up conference space
• Tuesday 27th at 9 pm - we need 3-6  people to assist in the reset of conference space
• Tuesday 27th from 5 pm-8 pm - we  need 3 people to help serve meals and create an atmosphere of hospitality
• Tuesday 27th from 11 am-5 pm, Wednesday 28th from 8-5 pm & Thursday 29th from 8-1 pm - we need 3  people to help serve meals and create an atmosphere of hospitality
