The 5s triumphed in the “ampersand” derby against Chislehurst & West Kent with a battling team performance defending 160. Runs and wickets were shared around as the 5s closed in on the promotion places. The 1s posted their highest total of the season to climb into mid table and ease some relegation fears. Captain Davis (70) and debutant Subbhian (65) the major contributors in posting 242 at Addiscombe. The seamers bowled superbly, led by Nicholls (14-2-47-4) with Oakes (8.4-1-26-3) taking the final wicket with two overs to spare. The 6s lost heavily to Dulwich in a game we won’t talk more about and the 2s lost to the league leaders, Ewell. However, it was very pleasing two of our juniors, Kay and Khan, amongst the wickets for the 2s - hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot more from those young cricketers.
