Dear Friends of Mindfulness Travels,

Before I move on to Costa Rica, I'd like you to know that we still have one space open for our upcoming September 15 to 22 Asturias, Spain and October 6 to 12 Assisi, Italy retreats. Co-teachers include Lavinia Plonka (Spain) and Dr. Ron Siegel (Italy). Registration is closing for those retreats at the end of this month, so if you're interested, please contact us soon. Click the above links for the complete details. Thanks.

Costa Rica x 2
We look forward to spending quality time with you in Costa Rica this winter, and we invite you to explore the two retreats we are offering there. Costa Rica is a land that is known for it's pristine nature, wildlife (monkeys, birds, and much more) environmental consciousness, abundant sunshine, clean swimmable water, beautiful beaches, and joyful people. In early 2020, we will be leading two Costa Rica retreats, both at the Pacific Ocean—one in Drake Bay, in the Osa Peninsula of the south, and the other at Sugar Beach, in the Guanacaste province of the north. "Relaxed" and "joyful" were the two words that quickly came to mind when I reflected upon my Costa Rica experiences over the past 10 years. And while writing this newsletter, I quizzed Linda, who said "adventure" and "contentment" were the two words that came to her mind. I will of course submit our Costa Rica descriptions to a statistical analysis to determine the validity of these impressions, but that's another tongue-in-cheek story for another day. Please continue...

Our co-teacher for the Drake Bay retreat is
Dr. Ron Siegel, who is internationally known for his mindfulness-based teachings. Ron is a brilliant psychologist with a great heart and keen sense of humor. Our co-teacher for the Sugar Beach retreat is Amber Acheson, a highly talented and open-hearted individual who will be teaching gentle yoga classes that are inspiring and facilitative of emotional regulation, embodiment, and wellness. Amber's teachings are accessible to everyone, regardless of experience and fitness level—we have greatly enjoyed her classes in our hometown of Asheville, NC. Please click the following links to learn more about these unique offerings, which feature outstanding co-teachers and beautiful accommodations. CE credits are available for qualified health professionals. Also included below is a link to a new blog entitled, "Self-Criticism and Distress: Remember—Everything is Impermanent".
