Our dishwasher woes are over AND the Guelph Community Backpack Project needs your help!
Our Dishwasher Woes
are Over!
You did it Guelph. A new industrial dishwasher is ready to be installed in our downstairs kitchen because of you! 100% community funded. Thank you!
We thank Dettmer Tire, Jon Wu, Lakeside Church and everyone who contributed a personal donation. Your generosity and support are sincerely appreciated.
Oh, Community Living Guelph Wellington thank you too! No more hand washing all of those dishes!
The Guelph Community Backpack Project is in full swing and we are expecting 1,000+ applicants again this year!
We know that one of the best poverty fighting tool is a full education – one free of disparities and inequalities. Research, however, has demonstrated that children and youth living in poverty tend to have poorer education results compared to their wealthier peers. These discrepancies are not due to the lack of ability to perform, but are rather the outcome of not having the necessary resources in order to be confident and successful in their academic journeys.
Partnering with the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition, HOPE House coordinates the collection of school supplies to provide every child in need with a brand new, fully stocked backpack.
Please bring donations of the actual items to 10 Cork St. East, Guelph or make a monetary donation here.
The tremendously amazing thing about this program is that it is completely #GuelphFunded! Last year, over 1,300 children and youth returned to school prepared to succeed because of local sponsors and donors. #GuelphCares
