New: Any actors out there? Casting Call for CW Series “”In the Dark” Season 2

Producers of “In the Dark” are looking for a male actor who is visually impaired to play the role of “Josh,” a visually impaired individual in his 20s to early 30s. The visual impairment can be low vision (degenerating vision), legally blind or no sight at all. The character is smart, confident and unbothered by nonsense. It’s not easy for “Josh” when he learns his sight is slowly degenerating, but he isn’t going to be victimized by his diagnosis. This is a large, recurring guest star role. First episode for this role shoots September 11 through September 20 in Toronto, Canada (may work up to 5 episodes).

Project details: 1-hour episodic network drama on The CW, part of CBS Studios Production Company and Red Hour Films. Pay: SAG-AFTRA Union Rates (includes transportation, flight, hotel, per diem). Location: Toronto, Canada. Dates: “Josh’s” first episode shoots September 11 through September 20. Filming of Season 2 spans August 2019 – January 2020. Executive producers: Corinne Kingsbury, Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock, Jackie Cohn, Michael Showalter, Brian Dannelly.

To audition and/or ask questions, email team@inthedarkcasting.com. We’ll reply with answers, audition scene and information for submitting a self-tape for “Josh.” Note – You do not have to be a member of the union to be considered. We are open to new talent. There is never a cost to submit an audition for a legitimate casting. Auditions remain private, viewed only by casting directors, producers, studio and network staff.
