Kids Work Over the Summer

Kate Swann is looking for only 5 more volunteers each Sunday to help with kids work over the summer to give our regular volunteers a well-earned rest! Everything will be planned and prepared for you. If you're interested in helping, please email Kate. If we can't find enough volunteers, then children will be in the services with their parents!

Summer Meet-Ups

St Nics families and Tiddlywinks group will be meeting every Wednesday at 10am during the school holidays in various locations in Durham. To stay up to date, "like" the Tiddlywinks or St Nics Families Facebook pages and read the notice sheet for more information.

14th August - Hardwick Park

Prayer for Christian Camps/Festivals

  •  Jacob Curry is going to soul survivor on August 18th
If you, your family, or children are going on Christian camps or festivals this summer and would like to be prayed for, please let Kate Swann know.
Discovery at Nics is a space to learn, explore, and discover more about God, your neighbour, and yourself. The first Sunday will be our family service and the third we will continue our Theology for All series.

St. Nics Daily Prayer Diary

Sunday – For all those who serve the church as volunteers. For those who welcome, set up, clean up and enable events and services and others who serve in a myriad of ways.

Monday – For Philip, Susan, Alison, Mary Anne and Claire who lead our Pastoral Team and the members of our congregation who are in particular need, especially those with long term
illness.

Tuesday – For our leaders that they may carry the weight of responsibility with wisdom and grace. For the leaders of the nations, for our Archbishops, for Bishop Paul, Bishop Sarah and the diocesan leadership team.

Wednesday – For those in physical or spiritual poverty. For the homeless and rough sleepers in Durham. That we may recognise Christ in them and have both the wisdom and courage to respond with love and justice.

Thursday – For the work of the Recovery Group. For Tim & Fay Biddlecombe who lead it, those who attend and for Dick Swarbrick and others on the support group. For those who suffer from and battle with addiction.

Friday – Pray for Joyce and Jeff Hattan and the work of the Coffee Lounge and all the volunteers and guests who attend.

Saturday – Pray for The Gateway Shop & Trust, for Hazel and Ruth and the others who work in the shop. For those who are supported through the work of Gateway and for the ongoing discussions
