Celebrating Family History Month

We know it can be difficult to access the archives if you're busy during the week so to help family historians move their research forward in Family History Month, we're adding an extra day to our usual opening times!

Saturday 24 August 2019 10AM - 3PM

Apart from a short presentation at 10AM to introduce new patrons to the BRAC collection, it will be business-as-usual in the Reading Room with full access to the PROV collection and the Bendigo Library's Local History Collection. Members of the Bendigo Family History Group will also be available in the library to assist if needed. We strongly recommend bringing any research notes and if possible, a laptop or tablet to access other resources in your search.

How Can The Archives Help?
It can be hard to know where to start with our collection so we have produced some guides to help you trace your interests through the various resources held by BRAC, PROV and the library. They are mostly Bendigo-focused but we have similar resources mentioned for other areas, including Strathfieldsaye, McIvor, Raywood and Marong.
