Congratulations!

Many years ago after a downsizing at the railroad where he was working, Mike Huckaby elected to take a different track in his career.  He took a job at a promotional product company and found it be (much more) “interesting … with something different every day.” 

Although the railroad called him back, Mike knew his career was destined for a different direction.  He decided he would rather work for himself; so, he started a part-time promotional apparel business in his garage.

Mike, partnering with his wife Lynn, launched Huck’s Sportswear 22 years ago. The company sells uniforms and promotional products to small and large companies, churches, schools, and sport teams. As their website says: We Get Your Name in The Game With Logo'd Apparel & Promotional Items.

Their mission has always been to “Provide our clients with the most up-to-date product that they can get to promote their company.  We help businesses promote their business.”

Partially because of that mission, Premier Barter has been the perfect venue to sell accumulated unbranded samples and stock. Huck’s Sportswear has been a member of Premier for five years and has sold many items through the end-of-year Holiday Show.

Of course, the husband-wife team are active users of Premier too. They have enjoyed using barter dollars for vacations, local restaurants, and garage door and plumbing services.  Possibly even a train ride some day in the future.
