Private Water Supplies in a changing climate: Insights from 2018
Large areas of Scotland experienced significant water scarcity between July and September 2018. This resulted in over 500 private water supplies running dry nationwide. However, the response to the crisis was generally effective and welcome.

Flood risk management in Scotland: Governance and developing shared agendas
This report looks at the governance of Flood Risk Management (FRM) in Scotland with the aim of identifying areas for improvement to develop shared agendas among all FRM stakeholders. Currently, stakeholder objectives are not aligned on a nationwide level with many stakeholders operating under their own agenda and prerogative.

How CXC pools and mobilises expertise

A new article in the journal Climate Change takes lessons from setting up CXC to illustrate how to build greater connections between science and policy.

The article uses case studies, interviews and to some extent the researchers' own experience to demonstrate how a boundary organisation like CXC can use strategic programmes of research to meet near-term policy demand for evidence via small-scale, rapid response projects.
