Northwich preparing to bloom once again
Flower power will be embraced in Northwich once again this summer after the Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) entered the town into two categories of the North West in Bloom Awards.

Northwich will be looking to scoop the top prize in both the Large Town and BID sections of the competition after receiving a Silver Gilt in the same two categories in 2018.
For this year’s entry, the Northwich BID will be working with a number of partners across a range of initiatives to impress the judges who will be awarding points within three themes; horticulture, environmental impact and community engagement.

These include Love my River’s floating habitats, yellow fish schemes and rainwater gardens, promoting wildlife friendly school grounds and meadows at Kingsmead Primary School and the construction of raised bed planters by residents at Anderton Place.
From Monday 22nd July, St Paul’s Square will be the location for a Sensory Garden too and entries have been made in the ‘It's Your Neighbourhood’ competition which comprises projects at the Lion Salt Works Butterfly Garden, Grozone, Transition Streets Northwich and Kingsmead Primary School.

The judges will be visiting Northwich on Tuesday 30th July. Head to the Visit Northwich website for more information.

River Festival organisers anticipate 'smashed' fundraising target
Northwich River Festival organisers are confident that the third annual event has 'smashed' previous fundraising efforts.
The festival, which took place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July, drew in thousands to the town centre and Barons Quay – with the Rivers Weaver and Dane also in the spotlight.

Themed nights coming up at Kanya Bistro and Bar
Kanya Bistro and Bar are running a series of themed evenings over the coming months which will give the people of Northwich a taste of different cultures.

There are Chinese, Spanish and Greek themed evenings in August, September and October which follow an Al Fresco BBQ tomorrow night.

Corporate partnerships at Northwich's museums
Cheshire West and Chester Council have recently started promoting Corporate Partnerships that businesses can enter into with the Lion Salt Works and Weaver Hall Museum.

As a corporate partner of the heritage attractions, you and your business will be supporting both museums to care for their collections, develop exhibitions and share Northwich’s exciting culture and history with residents and visitors.
From £1,000 your business can show a real passion for social responsibility and enjoy a wide range of special benefits that can be shared with clients, staff, family and friends.

There are three different membership packages - Bronze, Silver and Gold - that businesses can sign up to.
