Maldives | New reports with WHO address climate change impacts in the Maldives health care sector
The Minister of Health of the Maldives, Abdulla Ameen, announced last month at the World Health Assembly in Geneva that his ministry is developing green, climate-smart policies for his country’s hospitals based on two reports co-produced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Health Care Without Harm. The reports analyze the climate vulnerability of the Maldives’ health care system and recommended a set of policies and strategies to help the country’s health system respond to the impacts of climate change while reducing its own environmental footprint. Philippines | Public health forum highlights health impacts of climate change, plastics and air pollution
In observance of World Environment Day, Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia in partnership with the National Children's Hospital, a leading Department of Health hospital in the Philippines, conducted a Public Health Forum on the Health Impacts of Climate Change, Plastic and Air Pollution.
