Network launches a new website
We are excited to present a renewed NESET website! Our aim was to retain the familiar functions, but make them more intuitive, while also bringing the interface up to date.
Member profiles
Each member that filled out the GDPR consent and provided us with the necessary information is currently featured on the website. If you have some questions or comments regarding your profile, please do not hesitate to contact the Coordination team at info-neset@ppmi.lt and we will be happy to assist you.
Help us grow
With the launch of the new website, we aim to grow our community of researchers! If you know of any highly qualified experts working on the social aspects of education and training – please encourage them to join our open database. All an expert has to do is fill out a short online form and wait for our confirmation.
NESET Ad Hoc Report No 2/2019 Prepared by Péter Radó
The report provides an overview of the privatisation process within the Hungarian educational system, drawing upon international comparisons. It then looks at the direct and indirect policy instruments used to encourage the expansion of the church school network, as well as the actual changes brought about in the school network during the period between 2010 and 2016.
NESET Ad Hoc Report No 3/2019 Prepared by Dovydas Caturianas and Mantas Budraitis
The deliverable addresses the Lithuanian higher education reform that began in 2017. The authors provide background as to why the reforms were needed, and what problems of the higher education sector they seek to address. The report also covers key problems and challenges in relation to the actual implementation of university mergers in Lithuania.

Updates from our members
One of DG EAC knowledge providers, the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) held its International Research Conference (IRC-2019) took place on June 26-28, 2019.
The report provides indicators on the key quality areas of governance, access, staff, educational guidelines as well as evaluation and monitoring. It covers centre-based and regulated home-based provision in both the public and private sectors in the 38 European countries (43 education systems).
Recently published paper seeks to better understand the connection between learners’ engagement and education by exploring the meaning of ‘responsible transformative engagement’ and its process.
