In order to ensure we receive a diverse set of workshop proposals that reflect the depth and breadth of the workforce development community, we are extending the deadline for workshop proposals for the NYCETC 2019 Conference to Tuesday, August 6.

Did you implement an innovative program model?
Foster partnerships creating equitable career pathways into a growing sector?
Figure out a way to help people stay in a job?
Teach your workforce community by presenting at the 2019 conference!

We encourage all Coalition members, partners and system stakeholders to consider presenting a workshop session at the NYCETC 2019 Conference and spread the best practices they've developed developed over the past year. You may propose a workshop highlighting your organization and programs, or a collaboration with partner organizations and service providers.

For inspiration, you can take a look at our 2018 Conference Workshops. Some examples from last year's great workshops include "Build Holistic Workforce Programs: The Value of Social Workers and Navigators" with Per Scholas, The Door, Isaacs Center and Green City Force; "Establishing Equity on the Demand Side: Employer Inclusion Goals" with NEW and Viacom; and "
Progressive Organizations Can Resist the Internship Industrial Complex: Building Equity and Access Into Internships" with Friends of the High Line, Pier55, Pay Our Interns, and Jobs for the Future.

Within our conference theme - “Designing a System for the Future of Workers” - we are looking for workshops that highlight the following areas: Workforce Development Policy; the Role of Technology and Big Data Tools in Recruiting Practices; Employer Talent Needs; Public and Private Partnerships; and the Diversity of NYC’s Talent Pool.

Workshop proposals are now dues August 6. You can submit a proposal here.
NYCETC’s conference is the premier event of NYC’s workforce development community, bringing together over 500 national and local experts, employers, workforce professionals, government officials and funders for a day filled with information, idea sharing and networking. Stay tuned for August 14, when we will be unveiling more details about speakers and program agenda!
