Hello travellers,
Qantas 747, Business Class, Sydney to Santiago, Chile - flight reveiw coming today
As part of the Honeymoon trip report - the first flight, was on a 747 to Santiago, Chile. The trip report goes up on the blog later today, with my impressions of how the QF Queen of the sky is doing. Let's just say, she is past her prime. If you haven't read the reports on the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons Sydney, then get to it!
What happened last week?
Qantas announced the start date for its direct Brisbane to Chicago flights, and they are on sale (don't expect a discount!) now, with limited redemption availability outside of economy - like I mean needles in haystacks. This is a result of their newly approved joint venture with American Airlines. Fiji Airways are dropping full meals in business for their morning and evening flights to Australia, opting instead for a 'dine-on-the-ground' cost-saving option. British Airways and Lufthansa briefly suspended flights to Cairo over security concerns. And, British Airways finally catches up with the rest of the airline industry and starts flying an actual business class product, rather than the coffin class they ran before.
What's coming up?
Watch out for the SYD to SCL flight review later today, and to more flight and hotel reviews as part of the Honeymoon Trip to South America
I'm off to Adelaide next week, but no new flights or hotels to review, although there might be an interesting restaurant experience to report on.
I'm still looking forward to my first domestic flight on Virgin Australia's Business Class. So you can expect a review of that and associated lounges in Adelaide and Sydney courtesy of a Krisflyer points redemption.
Catch up on last weeks posts below. Until next week . . .
Happy Travels,
