POPSICLES WITH THE PRINCIPAL

PRESCHOOL - GRADE 8
Students in Preschool – Grade 8 (yes, we added all middle school) and their families are invited to join us for the fun and to find out your student’s homeroom teacher or pick-up middle school class schedule for for the 2019-20 school year and enjoy a Popsicle with the Principal at Wing Park Pool in Elgin. We will have the whole pool to ourselves so bring your swimsuits and towels for our fun evening.

Overnight Trip to Lake Geneva Youth Camp
GRADES 9 & 12
This overnight retreat provides our students in grades 9 and 12 an opportunity to connect, establish mentor relationships, and catch the vision for this upcoming year in high school. Our Seniors also begin to live out their legacy at HCA with this kick-off event their Senior year. By investing in the Freshmen, Seniors are able to leave behind an investment that will multiply over the 4 years of those Freshmen’s high school career. We want your student to be part of this experience. Trip cost is $85.00

Concussion Baseline Screenings and Health Day
Attention Student Athletes! Concussion Screening dates and Health Day are coming up. All high school athletes are required to sign up for one of our Concussion Baseline Screening days to be held on July 30 (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM), August 1 (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM), August 6 (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM) and August 8 (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM) Register for Concussion Baseline Screening here.
Meet the Teacher
Saturday, August 10 between 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
This morning is designed as an open window of time to come and bring in your school supplies and meet teachers and classmates.
Middle school (GR 7-8) and high school (GR 9-12) will start on the 4th floor and will be directed on how to find their assigned locker.
Lower school (GR K-4) will report to their homeroom teacher's classroom on the second or third floor.
Our event backs up to our Back to School Picnic!
Our Parent Task Force (PTF) will be hosting an HCA uniforms "garage sale." Please stop by the cafeteria during Meet the Teacher and shop through uniforms for GR K-8.

Back to School Picnic
Saturday, August 10 | 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Join your school family for a Back to School Picnic. The picnic follows our Meet the Teacher event. Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket. We will provide a lunch and are simply asking for donations. Please register so we can have a headcount for food.
