I NEED YOUR HELP: PLEASE WORK WITH ME

After having had an incredible World Series of Poker, I find myself in a bit of a funk. Of course, it's to be expected that regular life takes some adjusting back to after a combined month-long sojourn in Las Vegas, working hard and playing hard in poker's greatest playground.

We're continuing to pump out the content here at Cardplayer Lifestyle as usual, but it's important to not be proceeding aimlessly into the void.

So I'll just put it out there: I want my site and my poker media business to keep growing and I'm looking to generate additional revenue. There are two main ways I know how to do that:
  1. Get additional sponsors for my own content publication
  2. Get hired to produce content or provide services for others
While my natural tendency is to try and develop option #1 (after all, that's why I chose to become self-employed), I'm by no means opposed to exercising option #2 if and when the right opportunities come along.

Plainly speaking, then:
  • If you've got a poker-oriented company, product, or service that you're looking to get more exposure for, kindly consider working with me.
  • If you enjoy the content my contributors and I produce, please consider supporting it as a sponsor in some way, shape, or form.
  • If you would like to see Cardplayer Lifestyle produce coverage about your live poker events, let's try to find a way to make that happen.
  • If you believe having Robbie Strazynski assist you with your marketing or content-production efforts would be beneficial to your organization, please reach out to me and let's initiate some discussions.
And then there's option #3: Ideas you might have that I haven't considered. I enjoy working with great people and forging new relationships. Maybe I could figure into your business' plans in some way? If so, let's brainstorm together!

Thanks for taking the time to consider the above and help me with my business. I hope to hear from you soon.

Robbie

Hey, remember that mixed game meetup I promoted in last month's newsletter?

It. Was. Awesome!

Thanks so much to Westgate Las Vegas for agreeing to host us, and to PokerStars for supplying refreshments for the event as well as providing some special prizes. If you'd like a small taste of what the evening was like, I encourage you to read my recap blog post. In a nutshell: great people showed up and good times were had!
😀

I foresee many such mixed game meetups happening in the future.

Thanks so much once again to the iNinja Poker Tour for sponsoring this newsletter. Tour founder Chris Wallace wrote another great article this month, this time discussing The Joy of Poker. I'm sure you'll love it, so be sure to check it out.

🎙️ PODCAST UPDATES 🎙️

All good things come to an end, and such is now the case with regard to my run as host of the Red Chip Poker Podcast. While new episodes may occasionally be released in the future, RCP will no longer be releasing weekly shows.

In a highly enjoyable final episode, set to be released on August 6th, past hosts James "SplitSuit" Sweeney and Zac Shaw joined we as we reminisced about our respective tenures and gave listeners a special behind-the-scenes look at how the show works, revealing all the numbers as well as our picks for our favorite shows, and more.

Be sure to tune in!

Bruce Briggs and I have also been on a bit of an extended summer break due to the WSOP. Nonetheless, we managed to get a new episode of the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast recorded just before the end of the month. We spoke to Dan Michalski of Pokerati fame and longtime listener Donna Lawton about their WSOP experiences + recapped our own eventful summers.

It'll hopefully be available within the next 48 hours, so be sure to have a listen!

As always, I've included a selection of this month's top articles (which you may have missed) below. I hope you enjoy the reads; if you do, please share your favorites on social media to help spread the word!

Your feedback, constructive or otherwise, is of course welcome.

How I Grew My Poker Media Website from 0 to 20,000 Visitors Per Month

On the one hand, it took me the better part of a day to write this blog post. On the other hand, it took me the better part of a decade.

Cardplayer Lifestyle recently hit a major milestone: 20,000 visitors in a single month. This post celebrates the achievement by looking back to how it all started and taking stock of our slow and steady organic growth as a poker media site since our debut.

Get to Know the Poker Media

During the WSOP, I had the opportunity to connect with a number of my colleagues in the poker media. This month, we feature three of them as part of our ongoing Get to Know the Poker Media series: Dan Ross, Milko van Winden, and Yori Epskamp.

Each of these fine gentlemen have wonderful stories, and it was quite the pleasure to learn more about them. I hope you enjoy reading about their lives and careers.
