Summer here in the Northern hemisphere is going by fast! My kids are going back to school already! Where does the time go? I hope everyone has enjoyed their Summer and got lots of work done on some instruments you are building. I recently spent some time in San Diego visiting with family from Brazil. Nearby is a little place called El Cajon. This is where the Taylor Guitar Factory is. Well, I decided to drop in and see how Bob and the folks are doing. haha. I got to see and play the new V Braced guitars that Taylor is so proud of. Very soon all of their models will feature the V brace design. If you ever get the chance to take the Taylor factory tour, it is well worth the trip.

Next up here at O'Brien Guitars is to finish a class with a student this week. Today is day 3 of the class and the strings will go on the guitar Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I pick up Spanish luthier, Paco Chorobo, at the airport. He is arriving to teach two 8 day Flamenco Guitar Building classes starting on the 2th. A total of 8 Flamenco guitars will be built by students under his watchful eye using traditional Spanish building methods.
Somewhere in the month of August I also need to find time to attend two guitar events here in Colorado, The annual Guitar Town event at Copper Mountain and the annual Rocky Mountain Guitar camp. It is going to be a busy month!
Happy Building everyone!
