People with a disability need trusted information. Every day. 

IDEAS will continue to provide information to people with disability across the country this year through a one-off grant received from the Federal Department of Social Services, thanks to support from Minister Anne Ruston.

We will continue to support the need for people with disability to have access to free independent and accurate information to allow them to make informed decisions about their daily living and to understand how their funded supports work, what their rights are, and avoid confusion and stress.

August 2019 - Where to after school?

The Community Engagement team have been busy attending Post School Options Expos across the state. At these expo’s we meet many worried parents and carers and equally excited students. Not to mention dedicated teachers and Principals. 

All life transition stages can be daunting, as most mean changes to routine and at least some services and supports.  

The transition from school to post school activities is an important period for young people. To make informed decision about their future after leaving school, young people and their families and carers need access to comprehensive information about their choices...

ATSA Independent Living Expo

This month, IDEAS will be attending The ATSA Independent Living Expo in Canberra. The Independent Living Expo is a great opportunity for people to check out the latest in assistive technology from over 50 exhibitors.

The show also includes plenty of educational opportunities in its free seminar program, where attendees can hear from over 20 professionals talking all things assistive technology. Come and say hi, we’ll be at booth 136!
