Teens today face an ever-increasing number of challenges, from academic pressure and exam stress, to navigating interpersonal relationships, to constantly feeling under a microscope due to the merging of offline and online worlds. Amidst these stresses, it's easy for teens to feel lost, disconnected and unsure of themselves.
In this talk, Bhavna will discuss how to help teens better manage emotions, achieve goals, and build connection using effective elements found in all therapies and psychological interventions. The "DNA-V"model offers parents tools to:
- Help their teens clarify and connect to their Values
- Sharpen their child's "Noticer" skills
- Help their teen hear their "Advisor"
- Help their teen become a "Discoverer"
This Roundtable is appropriate for parents of secondary school children aged 12 or above, teenagers and adolescents.
This is a great chance to hear from a respected clinical counselor, share your own experiences with other parents, talk about support strategies, and explore your personal questions in greater depth.
