How BioEquine Helps Laminitis

Laminitis and Summer Grass

We all have heard about acute laminitis in some horses when they are turned out on summer pastures. The literature around the cause and effect of this topic is very confusing. There are many contributing factors, but WHY can we turn out ten horses on the same pasture, and only have ONE that develops laminitis?

Farrier Randy Kerner of Holistic Horsemanship in BC has been recommending BOTH our Digestive Support and our Joint Supplement to owners fighting laminitis. He reports that he has seen 100% success treating acute laminitic horses using BioEquine and corrective trimming. This is compared to roughly 30% just trimming. Randy and I feel strongly that an acute laminitis attack can be directly related to hindgut function. This evidence combined with the fact that on Sunglade Ranch we have never had a case of laminitis or founder in 20+ years of feeding the Natural Digestive Support by BioEquine to our whole that is on grass daily.
