Greetings. We are so thankful for the role you our partners play in the success of the ministry!
By now you should have seen our last email where Kristin shared about her passion, her new job, and how she will continue to be involved with students young and old. If you didn’t get to see our last update, please check your email box or contact us so that we can get it to you.
With Kristin heading back to the classroom, it is easy to think that our funding needs will change. I wanted to send this email to explain our current needs and ask you to consider helping us stay where we need to be for the next 12 years or so while we seek to finish strong.
For years we have lived on a salary below what Cru allows. By God's grace we have been able to more than adequately meet the needs of our family, time and again seeing His faithfulness to provide. Kristin’s move into the classroom allows us to focus a bit on the last chapter of our ministry while setting us up to retire should we need to. My salary can increase to the level of our previous combined salaries with little increase in the monthly (and annual) giving of you our partners, allowing me to put more towards our retirement and most of Kristin’s paycheck into savings. Your partnership is as important as it has always been. In fact, we are seeking to add to the partners we have.
Please pray for us as we make these adjustments and find new ministry partners. Pray for Kristin’s new ministry to her peers and the students she will shepherd each day at school. Also, pray for the many opportunities I have coaching volunteers. There are new calls from just north of Indianapolis, Ohio and New Jersey in addition to those I already coach in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Arizona, California, North Carolina and Nebraska.
If you can connect us to people who love Cru, high school students, or partnering with missionaries like me, please introduce us. If you can increase your giving to us at this time that would be an extra blessing. I will follow up to answer any questions you might have about Kristin’s new role or about my ministry. I will also check to see if there might be three to five names of those God has brought to mind that I can ask to have join our team.
