HEY THERE, FRIEND!
Welcome to the newsletter for Cardinal Spirits, the craft distillery + restaurant in Bloomington. It was nice to meet you at Sen. Alting's golf outing in July, where you left your email address with us (yep, the winner of the $100 gift card has been picked - congrats, John T.!) Our newsletter is your way to find out about product launches, sales, new menus, and fun events, and we always include a cocktail recipe from our distillery's bartenders to you! Reply if you want to tell us something or unsubscribe if this isn't your sort of thing!
NEW! SUMMER! MENU!
AT THE DISTILLERY
sweet-spicy-sticky-bold Thai street food + cool-as-a-cucumber cocktails
= your best summer nights
(we heard you! we left a few classics on the dinner menu:
cheeseburger, summer risotto, deviled eggs, oysters + more)
One of our all-time favorite riffs on a negroni is made with our Lake House Spiced Rum — a pleasantly sweet, warmly spiced spirit steeped with natural, whole botanical ingredients like orange peel, vanilla and cardamom. Lake House is also magical in a Rum & Coke or Dark n' Stormy — it's the perfect spirit for summer weekends!
SPICED RUM NEGRONI
1 ounce Cardinal Spirits Lake House Spiced Rum
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce sweet vermouth
Wide strip of orange peel, for garnish
Add all ingredients except orange peel to a mixing glass, then add ice and stir for 20 seconds. Strain over a big ice cube in rocks glass. Express the oils from an orange peel by pinching it peel-side down over the glass, then drop the peel in the glass to garnish.
