NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT
           Boys & Girls Clubs
           Of North Mississippi

The new school year is off and running, and that means the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi are back in full action. Coming off a successful summer program, they gathered last week for training and preparation for yet another awesome year of after-school activities.

One of the North Mississippi clubs, LOU Barksdale, will be part of the Loft's 4th Annual Night for Nonprofits in Oxford. Tickets for this event, held at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center, are $10. Your ticket allows you to vote for your favorite nonprofit. You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like, and each ticket counts for one vote. The winning nonprofit will be awarded a $5,000 grant.

On top of everything else going on with the Boys & Girls Clubs, they will also be hosting Dance Like the Stars. This annual fundraiser will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the BancorpSouth Arena. Make your plans to attend this most delightful and entertaining event!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
On Thursday, September 19, Volunteer NEMS is partnering with United Way of NEMS and Tupelo Young Professionals to host a nonprofit fair at BancorpSouth Arena from 3:00-6:00. The public will be invited to learn from the 100 nonprofits represented what the agencies do, where donations go, and how volunteers make a difference. If your agency has not already registered for this event, please do so now. The nonprofit fair is free, so why not participate?
