Dear <<First Name>>,

Below you will find this week's copy of Hutt City Baptist Church's newsletter. Please enjoy finding out about what is happening in the life of our church.

Today @ HCBC

10am Sunday Worship Service

Join us as we come together to worship and grow in our relationship with God and others!

Prayer: Our Story
With us flipping our vision upside down and inside out, with building changes, Readings Hutt City Pop-Up Cinema coming into our building and the many many people now coming into our space, as a church we find ourselves in the middle of change. So as a leadership team, we thought it would be good to take a season to commit what is ahead to God in prayer. Prayer is simply relationship and dialogue with God. Over this term we will be journeying through Scripture and also our vision as we commit our church to God through prayer and as we open our hearts and our lives to where He is calling us.

Today’s Message
“Prayer of Healing” – Pastor Gareth shares from Matthew 9:18-26
as we touch upon the call of our church to be rich in love.

Ministry Sharing Slot
This morning we hear from Wendy Joyes, our children and young family pastor. She will be sharing with us about what the children have been learning over this past term at The Quarry, our Sunday children’s ministry, about what they are looking at this term and also ways we can be involved. Thanks Wendy!

Children’s Ministry: The Quarry
The Quarry, our Sunday children’s ministry, runs during school term time. Stepping Stones (3, 4 & 5 year-olds), Living Stones (6-10/11 year-olds) & Pebbles Crèche (0-3 year olds). Children begin in the service before being invited to their programmes during the service.

Intermediates in the service today
Encounter is the Sunday Morning component of our intermediate-age ministry (11-12 year-olds). Encounter runs every second Sunday during term time and is on NEXT Sunday.

Communion
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the 1st Sunday of the month. We invite anyone who is a believer and follower of Jesus to join with us, even if you are a visitor. At the centre of all we do is what God has done for us through Jesus.

Songs We’re Singing
These are the songs we’re singing as part of today’s worship service:

  • "Raise A Hallelujah” by Jake Stevens, Jonathan David, Melissa Helser & Molly Skaggs
  • “Living Hope” by Brian Johnson & Phil Wickham
  • “It Is Well” by Horatio Gates Spafford, Kristene DiMarco & Philip Paul Bliss
  • “How Great Is Our God” by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves & Ed Cash
  • “Reckless Love” by Caleb Culver, Cory Asbury & Ran Jackson

Tithes & Offerings
The giving of tithes and offering is our worship through giving and also our commitment to support the work of the local church. If you are visiting, today’s service is our gift to you. Please don’t feel any obligation to give. If you call Hutt City Baptist Church your home and would like to give, Hutt City Baptist Church is a registered charity. To receive an annual tax receipt, contact the office for a tithe number. General giving can be placed in the offering bag or via bank transfer to 02-0528-0034815-000.
