AssalamOAlaykum Madina Family:

Saturday August 10th, the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah is the Day of Arafah, when all the pilgrims gather at the mountain plain of Arafah, praying and supplicating to Allah swt. Fasting is a recommended Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) for those who are not going for the Hajj, "Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Muslim) Join us Saturday night to open our fasts together with duas.

Eid-ul-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated Sunday August 11, 2019.

Madina Institute, Islamic Center of Little Rock, and Islamic Center for Human Excellence have collaborated together to offer a joint Eid prayer to the whole community, Alhamdulillah!

Insha’Allah, the prayer will be held at the gym in UALR's Donaghey Student Center ‪at 9:00 am‬. Takbeerat will ‪start at 8:30 am‬. Remember to bring your own prayer mats for salah.

Eid-ul-Adha Toy Drive

Please join the Eid toy drive for pediatric patients across the nation by Khairgiver Organization.

These five hospitals are participating in providing toys to children and each hospital is linked to an Amazon Wish-List. Purchases can be made from Amazon Wish-List and toys will be sent straight to the hospitals. The drive will end August 9th. We sincerely hope that you all will help spread some khair across the country by bringing smiles to sick children. Please click on the links below and donate generously.

Children's Tajweed Classes

Children's summer Tajweed classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays every week from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please register your children and make use of this wonderful opportunity while children are on break from school and have more time in summer vacations.
