As you know, I have tried several times to get Rockfish to accept information from me prior to them coming up with a design to make sure things went without opposition but they have ignored me.
I have tried both in my capacity as someone who has put together the Drill Hall Research site and continued to campaign to save the building and as part of the Vision Group for Sidmouth who have been considering the problem of Port Royal since 2005.
The application is not yet on the East Devon District Council planning site but a piece about it has been published in the Sidmouth Herald.
It is probably the worst design they could have chosen, they have modelled it on the Sailing Club and it looks like a fishing shed. This will have a detrimental effect on the Conservation Area and the Ham. It will not be an asset to the Esplanade.
Please prepare to fight this. More information will be sent out as I find it.
