Make Plans This Autumn

At Gateway Elim we have been preparing a number of opportunities for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to share your faith more effectively and be actively involved in our local Church Ministry.

TABLE TOP – CAR BOOT SALE

It’s time to declutter before Winter! Why not book your own table or car boot space to rid yourself of any unwanted items you have lying around?

It is £7 for an inside table or £5 to book your car-boot into the carpark. You sell your unwanted items to someone who will love them and give them a second life.

You take home what you make and we raise funds for baby Zion by renting you the table or a boot space. At the end of the day please make sure you take everything home you do not sell.

There will be teas and coffees on sale to keep you going with your first cuppa free if you’re a stall holder.

You may arrive to set up at 9am but sales start at 10am and close at 2pm. Bring on the bargain hunting for a great cause!

Dig deeper into the Word of God as you spend quality time with brothers and sister in Christ. This is an informal gathering of folks that want to grow more and learn how to live in the Word of God daily.

What Paul teaches on giving in the Church

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7.

A giving attitude is more important than the amount given. The person who can give only a small gift shouldn’t be embarrassed. God is concerned about how a person gives from his or her resources (see Mark 12:41-44).

"For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own" 2 Corinthians 8:3. According to that standard, the giving of the Macedonian churches would be difficult to match.

God himself is a cheerful giver. Consider all he has done for us. He is pleased when we who are created in his image give generously and joyfully. Do you have a difficult time letting go of your money? It may reflect ungratefulness to God. I think we would all do well and know true satisfaction and blessing to reflect on this aspect of our Faith and Service towards God and to then implement these principles in to our Worship. After all scripture tells us that Jesus said "It is more blessed to give than to receive". Acts 20:35
