The Confluence of Past, Present, and Future

The artists in Field Notes developed a series of works responding to the unique landscape, culture, and architecture of Caithness, Scotland. Artists Annie Cattrell and Anne Vibeke Mou, in particular, explore the relationships between human activity and the land through empirical, geologic, and anthropological research. Curator Michael Endo looks at the individual artists, their biographies, and how they responded to The Byre.
