This is my first newsletter as your new RDO, I'm excited to be working with the Central Region for the next 6 months. We've had some great committee talks and there are lots of exciting things planned for the future!

Whatever level you are working at, you can take advantage of the regular training dates which are organised throughout Central region. All our training is open to everyone so come along and enjoy some great dressage training.

Senior Home International
This year the Senior Home International is being held in the Central Region at Wellington Riding, Hampshire 18-20 October. 
You can apply to be on the Central Home International Teams on BD Central Bookwhen.

Senior Camp - Cherwell 

There are a few spaces left on the Central Senior Camp at Cherwell, Oxfordshire 16-18 August. Click here to book. 

If you are thinking of applying for the Home International Teams and haven't got the required amount of training Camp counts as two BD regional training events! 

It's a great opportunity to get those last minute training sessions for team application, as well as spend a weekend with some like minded Central Dressage riders 🐴🙂

Para Update

Para riders I need your help! As your new para rep I’d love to know what training/opportunities you would like to see within Central region. Any ideas you may have, or any thoughts about what you would find useful to achieve your dressage goals please do get in touch. Please email. I will also be attending the ID Champs at Solihull on 31st August, so if you are there please come and say hi. 

I have had the pleasure this week in visiting the new RDA National Training Centre which is simply wonderful. As this venue is in our region is would be great if we could make the most of this venue. 
 
Eastern Region are running a biomechanics clinic this Sunday 11th August at Abbey Farm, Turvey, Beds and have a space available if any para riders would like to attend. Please contact Joanne Dagley Cleworth on joanne@dagley.co.uk  to snap this spot up! For more details click here.

Judges 

Judge Training Series

There will be another Judges Training Series at Onley Grounds,Warwickshire for October, November and December. Book all three sessions at the same time and get a £10 discount! Open to Judges, Coaches and Riders. Book here on: BD Central Bookwhen

Part 2 - Transitions, simple changes and flying changes - 19th November with Jenny Ward

The Judges Training Series at The Croft has been fantastic and it's been great to see so many people attending. Part 1 with Debbie Lush looked at lateral work across the levels, whilst Part 2 with Christian Landolt  focused on Simple Changes and Flying Changes.

Central Youth Riders


Youth Home International 
All our super Central Youth Riders had an amazing, but very wet Home International!! Congratulations and well done to them all. 

Great results for Central:
Team Cornetto (Demi Howard- Cartwright, Daisy Mansfield and Lucy Rowton-Lee) came 10th in the team competition! Harry Corkett was 4th in the Juniors, Demi Howard-Cartwright 2nd Ponies, Rose Mcmillan 1st Young rider, Lucy Rowton Lee 7th Novice and India Keats Robinson 7th Medium.
Also a big congratulations to Sophie Stone for winning the regional Endeavour trophy!
 

 
Thank you to our amazing Youth Rep Emma Mansfield and Chairman Jane Imbush for supporting the Youth riders at the the Home International.

The next Team competition for the Central Youth riders will be the Sheepgate  Under 25's Youth Championships 19-24 August. Central will be sending 4 teams. Congratulations for all that have been selected to represent the region.
