Doors Open Milwaukee:  Volunteers Needed for Courthouse Tours

Doors Open Milwaukee brings in over 30,000 visitors to tour some of Milwaukee’s most historic and fascinating buildings. The EDWBA and the federal courts will be participating once again this year on Saturday Sept. 28 from 10-5. Last year over 3,000 individuals visited the federal courthouse, learning about the architecture and the role of the courts in our society.

Volunteers are needed to serve a two hour shift, either as a tour guide of the atrium or one of the courtrooms or in administrative positions such as working the information desk, answering questions in the exhibit hall or helping people get through security. Training will be provided. For more information or to volunteer contact Barbara Fritschel at Barbara_Fritschel@ca7.uscourts.gov. Each volunteer will receive a commemorative refrigerator magnet celebrating the 120th anniversary of the courthouse.
