4 ways to build momentum for safety and health
Now is a great time to energize your safety and health program and start planning goals and activities for the next 12 months.
These resources can help:
  1. Celebrate Safe + Sound Week. This week, join employers all over the country in celebrating your safety successes. On OSHA’s website, you can download materials and get activity ideas from previous participants. Watch SAIF's social channels (links below) on August 12-18 for easy tips to get you started.

  2. Be a leader. On our safety and health website, you'll find tools to help you support an injury-free workplace, including monthly safety talk topics. Got a few minutes? Take our Safety Break quiz!

  3. Tackle OSHA’s “3 in 30” challenge.  Take three actions in 30 days to demonstrate safety and health leadership. Share your commitment with employees, then post your “challenge coin” on social media.

  4. Get safety smart in 10 minutes. Take one of our top online trainings on Hazard Identification, Accident Analysis or Safety committees and meetings. They are free and available in English and Spanish.

  5. Make safety personal. Download OSHA’s fun, hands-on activity that literally “frames” workplace safety from a personal perspective by getting employees thinking and talking about why safety matters.

  6. Visit saif.com to find trainings and resources designed to meet the specific needs of Oregon state agencies and public universities. As always, SAIF and your aligned senior safety management consultants are here to help.
