Numb Hands - Causes and Solutions

Numb hands is up there on the list of common comfort complaints riders have.  Like many comfort issues on the bike, there is no one thing that causes numb hands and is a universal solution.  For this reason, it is important to understand what the different fit and posture related items are that could be causing the issue if you are going to solve it.  This article dives into the topic deeper...

How Should Cycling Shoes Fit?

Shoes are one of the most important pieces of equipment many riders own.  Why?  Well, if you use clipless pedals, it is the one place that you are completely connected to the bike.  Shoes are at least as much a bike component (like wheels, drivetrain...) as an article of apparel.

Over the years, we've heard almost every thing one could imagine about how bike shoes are supposed to fit.  Some of what we have heard causes more harm than good.  For this reason, we thought it made sense to throw our two cents into the ring with an updated article on the topic.

Like everything we try to offer, our recommendation on how shoes should fit are based in kinetic and physiological evidence whenever possible and supported by decades of experience fitting and helping people ride better and in greater comfort.  We hope it helps and contact us to make an appointment if you want to have footbeds made and/or come in to have your feet looked at and try shoes on.

How Good Runners Can Become Good Cyclists

Have you ever noticed that the best runners are rarely also the best cyclists?  In some ways, it is a little strange as the aerobic  "engine" to do both activities well is basically the same.   The difference points out the importance of technique and muscle specificity though.

Coach Will Kirousis of Tri-Hard Coaching offers perspective and an initial road map to turn your strength as a runner into cycling success in this article.
