Backpack Bash Thursday, August 15 • 5:30-8:00 pm North Midland Family Center (NMFC)
2601 East Shearer Road • Midland
Our goal is to provide 120 filled backpacks for children in need in North Midland. Currently we only have 55. Please pick up a tag in the lobby this week and bring your backpack to the Backpack Bash at the NMFC on Thursday, August 15th. Can't make it to the Bash? Please bring your filled backpack(s) to the lobby table on Sunday, August 11th.

Potluck Meals Needed!
Outdoor Picnic - August 18
Please register to bring a potluck dish to the picnic on Sunday, August 18th. Dishes needed include:
Salads: coleslaw, fruit salad, pasta salad, etc.
Side Dishes: baked beans, cheesey potatoes, veggie casserole, etc.
👧👦👶Families with kids 6 and under: There will be a special area just for you! Bring your bathing suits, towels, and get ready for splash and play! Join us in the south side circular drive after lunch!
⛱ Please also bring your swim clothes, towels, and lawn chairs if you would like to sit down.
💦 Water games will include water balloons, water relays, and other fun water games for all ages! Invite some friends and we will see you there!
All women invited! The greatest privilege we have as Christians is the privilege of a growing, dynamic relationship with God through prayer. Come join us for a special evening as we hear from Kim Goodnight on “Praying Through the Seasons of Life.”

Church Library Summer Hours Sundays, 9:30-10:00 am and 11:15-11:45 am
Every Sunday through August 18 please check-in your elementary aged kids (finished K-5th grade) as usual and bring them to the 10:00 AM service to worship with you. They will be dismissed after the singing ends like they normally do during the second service. After the service concludes, you may pick them up in the Kids Worship room (109/116). Infants to 4's/young 5's kids will check in and go directly to their classrooms as normal.
To prepare for our exciting fall ministry launch, the BLAST Children's Area will be closed on August 25th and September 1st. Enjoy these two weeks of worship together as a family! We look forward to Sunday School classes resuming on Sunday, September 8th at 9:00 & 10:45 AM.

All families with children are invited this summer for play dates at Central Park Elementary on Tuesdays at 11:00 am from June 11 - August 20. In conjunction with the Meet Up and Eat Up program, lunch is served in the school building from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm for all kids under 18!
Parents & caregivers, please bring your own lunches. You can also bring blankets and chairs as picnic tables are unavailable. Come and go as you please. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

YOUNG ADULT LIFE GROUP Summer Gatherings
All young adults (ages 22-35) are invited to Plymouth Park every Wednesday this summer at 7:00 pm from June 19 - August 28. Meet at the picnic tables just south of the FUN ZONE play area. Single Moms Parenting Class
Register today! Victoria Rodriguez and Nicole Webster will teach and encourage other single moms during this 13 week class. Begins Sunday, September 8th at 10:45 AM in Room 309. Childcare/Sunday School provided through our BLAST Children's Ministry for children ages birth - 5th grade. All single moms invited regardless of the ages of their children!

Praying for our Elders, Pastors, and Congregation

You have two opportunities to pray during this movement:
1. Corporately once a month - these prayer “meetings” will be via online video conferencing on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
2. Privately once a week - we will send you an email with prayer prompts to assist your prayer time throughout the week.
We encourage you to participate in both corporate and private intercession. Either can be accessed from any device as long as you have an Internet connection and a working email address.
It is our hope that using this kind of technology and time frame will allow us to pray "together" by removing some of the obstacles for our younger families (from home and after bedtime), and for all of us who struggle with full schedules where extra driving time can make or break our ability to participate.
