Growing Space at St-Helen's Church

We are excited to announce that RBKC have approved our next Growing Space to be installed at St. Helen’s Church, North Kensington. This garden will serve Bassett House school children as well as local residents of all ages with offerings of Saturday and school holiday forest school and garden workshops.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help care for the space, to water, weed and harvest as necessary.  We have been so pleased with the number of local residents dropping by our Growing Space at Christ Church and we look forward to similar local involvement and enjoyment at St. Helen’s.  If you interested in learning more about our next project, please get in touch.
If you would like to give a donation towards herbs and plants for our next garden at St Helens Church then please get in touch at info@growingspace.london

Growing Space at Christ Church

A big congratulations for our Year 1 and Year 2 from both Thomas's School and St-Mary Abbot's Primary School for a successful first summer growing season!
Thomas's school and St-Mary Abbots Primary School raised beds have produced a lot of herbs and vegetables. Have a look at what our local children and volunteers have harvested!

A Special Thanks!

Thanks to the generosity of a Thomas's school parent, Mayasuni, who kindly gave a donation to Jekka Herbs Farm, we were able to collect a vast array of Herbs for our Christ Church Garden. We have now more than 30 different and delicious scented herbs and plants, and hope to have more soon!
Jekka’s is home to the largest collection of culinary herbs in the UK. It is not only a wonderful resource for plant identification but also a gastronomic delight for anyone interested in good food. They have an amazing collection of kitchen herbs! Jekka's herbetum contains over 400 culinary herbs carefully planted in raised beds on Jekka's herb farm.

Have a look at their amazing Jekkapedia to learn more about herbs you can plant in your garden!

Keep supporting us!

On a final note, we are working hard to help build and provide other growing spaces in the borough for the local schools and the community. To achieve this, we need your help!
We are still looking for sponsorship for raised beds and selected trees.
Each sponsored item will receive a personalised engraved brass plaque.
It does make a wonderful gift or commemoration!
