The Unruly Mystic

'Muir valued nature for its spiritual and transcendental qualities, referring to wild nature as places for rest, inspiration, and prayer, and he encouraged everyone to experience nature for its spiritual nourishment. This movie is a personal and an inspirational journey about how the filmmaker and others reaffirm their appreciation of nature through the revolutionary writings of John Muir, and by spending time in nature as Muir advocated.'

Organised by the Friends of John Muir's Birthplace, Tickets on the door on in advance from John Muir Birthplace

Everyone has a human right to nutritious food – but too many people in Scotland are not realising that right. People are priced out of a nutritious diet, made to rely on food banks, while even more are suffering the consequences of poor nutrition. We are failing to protect our natural environment and failing to value the people who produce our food.

Our capacity to eat well should not depend on the money in our pocket – access to food is a human right. Let’s put it into Scottish law and make it a reality.

SCCAN’s new podcast series: Stories from the frontline of community-led climate action
We are a fast growing movement of ordinary mums who are worried sick about the climate crisis. We are inspired by young people who are striking for climate action.
