“The Flood of ’55, Before and After”
The Colebrook Historical Society invites you to a social gathering on
Friday, August 9 at 7 p.m. Highlighting the evening will be a presentation
by Winchester's own, Milly Hudak.  

The Gathering will be held at the home of the CHS, the historic Seymour Inn, located at the intersection of Routes 183 and 182A in the center of Colebrook. Plenty of refreshments will be on hand. All are most welcome.

Winsted Trails Second Saturday - Soldier's Monument
Join Winsted Trails this Saturday, August 10 from 2 - 3 p.m. to find the secret trail to Soldier's Monument


Starting out on Main St, in front of the American Museum of Tort Law, and take a "secret trail" up to the monument, then a short walk around the park with a chance to enter the monument and view the sights of Winsted from the top! We'll have a representative from the Soldiers' Monument Commission to answer any questions. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Winsted's Annual Fireman's Carnival and Parade
marks the end of the summer each August.


The carnival features, food including Tower 1's famous fried dough,
a beer garden, dunk tank, rides, games, music, and fireworks on Friday night! The parade will be held on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. down Main Street.
Credit cards will be accepted or all food sold by the Fire Department.
