Volunteer Opportunities
FIRST DAY PACKET STUFFING
Tuesday, August 20th, 9:30 to 11:00 am
Woodmoor Library
Every year the PTSA helps Woodmoor office staff with stuffing over 900 packets with flyers that go home with students on the first day of the school. The more hands we have the faster it can be completed, your student(s) is welcome to volunteer as well. If you are available to help with this please sign up below.

Woodmoor's annual Open House and PTSA Welcome Back day is coming up and volunteers are critical to the success of our event. We need volunteers to help with setup, running activity tables, and cleanup.

Woodmoor Elementary
Be part of a movement of local churches, school districts, PTSA’s, non-profits, and businesses that mobilize as one for our community. For one day we come together to help schools get ready for the new school year, preparing classrooms and school grounds to become a premier learning environment for our kids. Projects include helping teachers set up classrooms, as well as improving the campuses through painting, repairs, beautification, and more.

Back To School Information
Woodmoor Open House: August 28, 4:30-5:30
The entire Woodmoor Community is invited! General Ed FSA, PACE, and EAP Open House is a great opportunity to meet teachers and drop off school supplies. Kitchen staff will be available to accept Bank-a-Meal payments.
PTSA Welcome Back Celebration, August 28, 4:30-7:00pm
After you visit your child’s classroom and drop off school supplies, stop by the small playground for the PTSA Welcome Back event. Food will be available for purchase from The Road Chef Truck. Stop by the PTSA membership table to join/renew your membership and sign up to receive the PTSA weekly Highlights by email. Those who join or renew their membership will receive a surprise! Also stop by the PTSA information table to see what events are planned for this year or to learn about and sign up for ongoing volunteer opportunities and committees.
 Kindergarten
The first day of school for Kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year will be either September 9 or September 10
For the 2019-20 school year, kindergarten students will begin their year with a "rolling start." That means half of the students will begin school on September 9 and the other half will begin on September 10. On September 11, all students will attend together. Woodmoor will provide specifics regarding which day students will attend for their first day. If there are special circumstances that may require different scheduling for a child's first day of school than the day assigned, families are advised to contact the Woodmoor office.
Also, kindergarten teachers will be contacting parents/guardians to schedule a 20-30 minute family conference that will take place September 4-6.

Get Involved!
The Woodmoor PTSA is busy planning events and enrichment activities for the 2019-20 school year, and we need your help! If you like what the PTSA brings to Woodmoor and would like to get involved, we still have several openings, with varying levels of time commitment. Many can be done almost entirely at home and most positions can be shared.

Northshore Middle School
The Northshore School District is excited to offer a Summer Food Service Program this year. We will serve lunch at no charge to all children 18 and younger. Children do not have to be enrolled in the District to receive this benefit. Adults may purchase meals at the regular, advertised price of $4 for lunch. All meals must be consumed at the school.
