Wednesday (Aug 7) Kosta la Vista at 6:30 pm. for the Concert in the Park series at Sutton Park, 7th & Washington. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a summer evening of music every Wednesday through August 21st. Electric Blues for all of you's: SRV, ZZTop, KW Shepherd, Curtis Salgado, Robert Cray, John Mayer etc.

Thursday (August 8) Violinist Sarah Whitney presents her original interactive concert concept, Beyond the Notes, with Seeing Double Duo during a special summer pop up house concert (venue announced to ticket holders). Movie in the Park

Friday (August 2) sunset (about 8:00 pm) at Sutton Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and some snacks; settle in to watch The BFG.

Produce Swap

Fridays, 10:00 - 5:00, Cheney Library, 610 1st Street. Bring in your extra produce (fresh only), and take home something different from another garden. Leftovers will be delivered to local food banks or community centers for distribution.

Sweet Melon Produce Stand

Farm fresh produce from eastern Washington, Oregon, and Idaho in the parking lot of Cheney Glass, 819 1st Street.  Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8 am to 7 pm.

Astronomy at the Library

Saturday (Aug 10) 3 - 4 pm Cheney Public Library, 610 1st Street. Learn how to use binoculars for stargazing and navigating the night sky. Then take a pair of binoculars for a spin and a viewing, conditions permitting.

August Clothing Swap

Saturday (Aug 10) 6 - 7 pm at Salnave Park in the treed area off Presley Drive. Need clothing or have clothing to donate. More info at https://www.facebook.com/swapitcheney/

RSVP: Cardboard Boat Regatta

Tuesday (Aug 13) 7 - 9 pm at Cheney Outdoor Pool, 711 Cedar St. Participate of watch the action as cardboard boats compete to stay afloat and make it to the finish line. Teams must register. $20 per team 509-498-9250.

Coffee with Your Representative

Next Wednesday (Aug 14) 3 - 4 pm at Bene's, 24 W. 1st Street. Have a discussion with 6th District State Representative, Mike Volz. Coffee and snacks provided.
