Beer Regatta Week
Regatta Week is always a busy time in the Sailing Club and this year is no exception....lots going on for all the family!
Saturday 10th August
Start your week with a sizzle – bacon baps and hot drinks served from 8.30am in the clubhouse.  The bar will be open from 12noon to enable you to enjoy the Dinghy and Cruiser Regatta out on the water (entry forms available on the sailing club website).  From 6.30pm, enjoy a steak BBQ on the terrace with the bar open until 11pm.
Dinghy and Cruiser Regatta Entry Form
Monday 11th August
The bar will be open from 6-9pm so that you can enjoy watching the rowing races and Luggers out on the water with a glass of something refreshing.
Wednesday 13th August
Coffee morning as usual from 10am -12noon.
The club will again be the venue for Regatta Cream Teas from 2-4pm.  Spice up your cream tea with a glass of Prosecco from the bar which will also be open.
In the evening, the bar will be open from 6pm as we once again host the Regatta Spoofing Competition – this is always a really lively and fun evening in the club....everybody welcome!
Thursday 15th August – Regatta Day
Start Regatta day with a delicious bacon bap and hot drink on the terrace from 8.30am.  Cakes and filled rolls served from 12noon with a choice of hot drinks or a tipple from the bar which will then be open until 11pm.  Enjoy the Lugger Regatta and the Decorated Rafts from the best vantage point in Beer (well, we’re a little bit biased!).
Pulled pork rolls will be available from 6.30pm and what better place to enjoy the fireworks than from the cliff top terrace...always a spectacular sight and fabulous finale to the main Regatta events!
Saturday 17th August – Development Sailing and Supper
If you’ve still got any energy, Saturday will see the fifth of our development sailing sessions with our “Pot Luck” Supper from 6.30pm.  As before, we aim to have a variety of single-handed and
two-handed boats on the water for everyone to have a go under the guidance
of some of our more experienced sailors. It is not designed to be formal sailing
training, more an opportunity for club members to gain experience of basic
sailing techniques and trying out different boats. Please let us know in advance if you have a preference.

In the evening there will be an informal club social event for everyone, both sailors and non-sailors, with some delicious food and drinks from the bar.
