An amazing read (listen)

Normally, I share what I'm reading over there on the right but this last month I listened to an amazing book. After the mild disappointment that was Bohemian Rhapsody, I wanted to find out more about the band and the star named Freddie. I found Somebody to Love, which I expected to be a biography of the forming of Queen, the craziness that followed them and the passing of Freddie Mercury. What I got was, well, let's let the author explain it...

Somebody to Love Author Mark Langthorne

From my Socials

Over on Facebook and Linked In, I write posts about some of the articles I read in the media and insights from actual client meetings. This quarter was a doozy. Virtually every article I saw from Yahoo! Finance was an advertisement for a company's stock disguised as information. I ripped into 3 articles last month alone!
Other posts include
- Why brokers might "rebalance" your stock portfolio so often
- What does DSC mean and why would an advisor use it
- What a buy and hold philosophy can add up to over 10 years

Hop over and take a look for yourself. Take a few seconds to like and share.

Open for Business

I love working with my clients and helping them worry less about their financial lives. What I also like is when a client tells someone they know about how we've helped them. I just want to let you all know that I am never too busy to see your friends, family or colleagues. I have developed a list of life events that, if they occur, you should probably talk to an advisor. Spend 60 seconds looking it over and if you can answer YES to any of these questions, for you or for someone you know, let me know. I'm here to help.

Simply check your schedule, then check mine and if they are both free, we'll meet. Check out my schedule here and book a time to meet (updated hourly)

Whatcha Reading?

Aside from the Freddie Mercury biography mentioned over there <--, I found a great book that has helped me keep track of my hectic life. The Bullet Journal Method was developed by a student with ADD to help him stay focused and I've tried it out for about a month now. It works insanely well. Keep track of my readings at home here

Whatcha Watching?

All of my favourite shows are getting cancelled! I still have Master Chef and we're still rewatching Seinfeld but I'm running out of things to watch. I did watch Chernobyl though and, as short as it was (5 episodes), it told a brilliant story surrounding an event I remember as a kid. It's definitely not for the squeamish though. You've been warned
