Here’s what’s happening in Philadelphia.

The Birds are back in town and training already, so our blood is pumping and we’re pulling all the green out of storage for the season. But, before you start planning your fantasy football draft, check out what’s going on in the health and fitness world in Philly this week AND BEYOND!

🎉 Giant’s Little Sister Opens in UCity

Just in time for the 2019/20 school year, the smaller-format urban offshoot of Giant Food Stores, Heirloom Market, officially opened their University City doors! The new spot features kombucha on tap, locally sourced specialty items from Old City's High Street on Market and One Village Coffee, and a fresh sushi section. And Dragons, get excited — this gourmet grocery store accepts payment with Drexel University ID cards.

🔥 Yoga with Unity

All those hills in Manayunk can leave you in need of a good stretch. Luckily, this week, Unity Yoga is hosting the soft opening of their beautiful studio on Main St. This new hot Vinyasa studio is offering $5 drop-in classes August 12 to September 2, so feel free to sample the classes before committing to their (reasonably priced) monthly membership.

🏨 Four Seasons is for Foodies

Speaking of openings, the Four Seasons Philadelphia opens their doors to the public August 12 and, in addition to some super-glam rooms, is bringing upscale dining to the ground floor and sky-high with two restaurants. Vernick Fish, a seafood-centric spot, will keep the tastes of the Jersey Shore going all year round, while the top floor will house Jean-Georges Philadelphia and a menu of bad and bougie dishes like caviar, plus lighter versions of classic French breakfasts. Sandwiched in the middle of the concepts (on the second floor) will be Vernick Coffee Bar if your big brunch has you dozing.

🍦 NadaMoo! for Me and You!

Confession: the first time we tried NadaMoo!'s vegan ice cream, we may have finished the entire pint. And if you haven't tried it yet, get your taste buds ready because the Texas-based scoop shop and producer is touring the country and stopping in Philadelphia on August 11! Pop into V Marks The Shop, who’s hosting from 12–4pm, for a plant-based escape where you can enjoy free scoops of coconut milk-based NadaMoo! ice cream in an outdoor lounge area. There’ll also be a photo booth and servers scooping NadaMoo! ice cream out of tricycles.

🌽 Farmers Market Madness

When you live in Philly, it can often feel like every week is National Farmers Market Week. But, this week, it actually is! Check out Fitt’s list of our favorites in and around the city, and make sure to support your local farmers by grabbing an extra tote of tomatoes or bunch of berries this week!
