This is the 13th weekly newsletter for Phase 3 of the Runway 9/27 Reconstruction project at the Duluth International Airport (DLH). The purpose of the weekly newsletters will be to provide updates throughout the project regarding construction impacts, runway closures, temporary runway conditions, and other information as needed. Runway 9/27 Construction Progress
This week of construction has included the majority of the concrete paving for the project. The airfield pavements currently being paved include portions of Runway 9/27, Taxiway A5, and Runway 3/21. Concrete paving is slated to be complete by early next week. Additionally, shoulder preparation work items such as grading, compaction, and electrical installations have taken place over the course of the last week.

Runway/Taxiway Operations - Phase 3C
Phase 3C is currently underway, and Runway 9/27 is operating in the displaced condition with over 7,000' available. Runway closures consist of Runway 3/21. Taxiway closures consist of Taxiway A5, Taxiway E1, and Taxiway C north of Taxiway A.

Next Week Preview: August 12th - August 17th
Next week, concrete paving is slated to be completed for the project. Final shoulder preparation and bituminous paving will follow, as well as the installation of the new MALSR threshold bar.
