New DSD Release

Double Album, 2+ hours of music

Bruckner’s Entire ‘Symphony No. 4’

Sir Simon Rattle loves Bruckner’s Fourth, and on this new recording from LSO Live, he conducts the work in all its splendour: music that never gets any less stirring, and has never sounded so fresh. This edition of the symphony and its discarded Scherzo and Finale by Benjamin-Gunnar Cohrs was published in 2021. The world premiere performance with Sir Simon Rattle and the LSO is a must-listen for lovers of Bruckner’s music. It gives us a glimpse into the composer’s untold musical thoughts.

New DSD Release

Straight-forward, Nothing but Great Jazz

Another outstanding jazz album from the celebrated American saxophonist Scott Hamilton. Along with Paolo Birro (piano), Aldo Zunino (bass), and Alfred Kramer (drums) - his usual partners when performing in Italy - the quartet plays Poinciana, Birk's Works, Put On A Happy Face and other famous numbers.

New DSD Release

A Jazz Flavoured Mixed Pot of Songs on Piano

This debut solo album is a selection of improvisations on standards and original compositions. The repertoire ranges from Body and Soul to Over the Rainbow, Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans to originals. An interpretation with great pathos, realism and dynamism. Reflections is a musical journey in a jazz key. It ranges from the "standards" of the Great American Song Book to original compositions, crossing the "song books" of other genres and cultures.

New DSD Release

Singer-Songwriter De André Re-Imagined

In this album Musica Nuda presents songs by the great Italian singer-songwriter De André, an interpretation not to be missed!

New Pure DSD Release

This album is available exclusively in DSD and DXD. Not available on SACD.

A New Beethoven Series Kicks-Off

The National Symphony Orchestra presents the first in its series of releases of Beethoven’s complete symphonies, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.

The energy with which the 22-year-old Beethoven threw himself into Viennese music life was truly astounding. With his First Symphony, Beethoven clearly took over where Haydn and Mozart had left off, yet he spoke the inherited language of his elders in such an individual way that no contemporary could fail to notice the arrival of a major new voice on the musical scene.

Beethoven’s Third Symphony represents a quantum leap within the composer’s oeuvre as it does in the history of music in general. The sheer size of the work—almost twice the length of the average 18th-century symphony—was a novelty, to say nothing of what amounted to a true revolution in musical technique and, even more importantly, in musical expression.

Album of the Week - 25% Off

A Young Pianist’s Astonishing Debut

“The sensational young Dutch pianist Hannes Minnaar is the international prize-winner and recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust fellowship. Not yet known here, he displays his extravagant gifts in this debut disc of Rachmaninov’s weighty Sonata No 1 and Ravel’s Sonatine and Miroirs. Minnaar’s virtuosity needs no comment: we expect that. His musical intelligence, sense of line and structure, delicacy, subtlety of texture and discipline set him apart. His Ravel is muscular and sparkling, his Rachmaninov glowing, meticulous and fervent. Minnaar is faultless in pacing the many climaxes of the outer movements to attain coherence of the whole, and the strongest sense of direction.”
