NEW CITY FELLOWSHIP'S FINAL SERVICE

After 3 years of meeting weekly, New City Fellowship will hold its last worship service this Sunday, September 18th. Please see the letter from Rev. Robbie Mills below.
This ending is difficult in many ways, yet I also have a sense of peace that it is the right decision at the right time. I look forward to seeing where God leads the staff members, and those who have come through New City over the past years. Thank you for being part of this journey with me, and faithfully praying and giving toward the work God gave us to do. Looking back on the past 6 years of ministry in Dallas, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for each of you who have partnered with me through prayer and/or financially along the way. Your support and sacrifice have been encouraging, both through the hardships and the joys. It has been an honor to partner with you at New City and the 3 prior years I spent in refugee ministry in Dallas. Truly, thank you.
A note to financial donors:
Thank you so much for your financial partnership. Once details are ironed out in the next two weeks, I will send a separate email to my recurring donors with more information on how to proceed. I appreciate your patience as we focus our efforts on the congregation and final service this week, and move into other logistics later this month.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR OUR FAMILY?
Ah, great question! Currently, we are settled in Dallas, and while we don't see that changing soon, we are praying for wisdom as we do in each "crossroads" stage of our lives. In August, I began homeschooling Lyndee for Kindergarten (Rosie loves joining in too), and it has been so wonderful to spend that structured time together. Thomas and I are praying about whether I should stay home full-time, or invest in some other part-time opportunity for a while. Please join us in prayer for clear direction in this. I am thankful to have the flexibility to consider both, and would be really content going either direction!

PRAYER REQUESTS
Wisdom for what's next. Pray for God to clearly guide my next steps as I consider whether to stay home full-time or look for another part-time opportunity.
Amazing churches for the families of NCF. Please pray that each of the remaining families at New City finds a welcoming, gospel-loving community to join.
Rest. Pray for rest and renewal for the staff and community of New City.
The Partners of NCF. Pray for everyone who partnered with us along the way to know how grateful we are, and to find continued ways to give generously to Kingdom work.

And now, a recap of some summer adventures...

In May, we took the girls and met my parents and sisters in Maui, while David got extra cuddles with his other grandparents at home. We went to a luau, explored caves at a black sand beach, drove to the top of a chilly volcano (discovering Lyndee's propensity toward car sickness on the way down), and spent lots of time at beaches and pools. Thomas and I celebrated 11 years of marriage there too.
In August, the kids and I escaped the brutal Texas heat and drove up to Clear Lake, Iowa with my mom to visit my Oma. Highlights of our week there included cool weather, lake swimming, matching shirts, and lots of ice cream and corn.
Overlapping with my time in Iowa, Thomas had the opportunity to courier medical and hygiene supplies gathered by our church to Poland, where he handed over 10 crates of supplies to local missionaries. They were then driven over the border to Ukranian churches, for distribution to the many people in need there. We're so happy in this picture because United Airlines had just waived all the baggage fees for the supplies (a true answer to prayer)! Thomas also got to visit his brother in Bulgaria after dropping off the crates.
These three cuties are such a blessing to us!
