Expanding the BAAITS' Offerings

We're thrilled to announce our first-ever Electric Powwow honoring Indigenous music, art and culture, in addition to our annual Two-Spirit Powwow returning for its twelfth year in 2023! The BAAIT-S mission is to continue expanding cultural events, workshops, and partnerships in celebration of the Two-Spirit community and their family and friends. Thank you for helping us make it possible. We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events soon!

Our First Annual Electric Powwow

In honor of the Indigenous People's Day, join us to celebrate with an Electric Powwow, on Sunday, October 9, 2022. An Electric Powwow is not an actual powwow, rather a celebration of contemporary indigenous music, art and culture (and not to be confused with our annual Two-Spirit Powwow). We will be showcasing the Indigenous Marketplace with our vendors, Two-Spirit story time, exhibition (drum and dance), mini-drag performance, free bingo game and DJ.

The Electric Powwow will be held at Fort Mason Gallery 308 in San Francisco, 10:00am-4:00pm. Join us!

Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) is an all-volunteer organization that exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirit people within the American Indian/First Nations community by creating a forum for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people. To that end, BAAITS is committed to offering culturally relevant activities for LGBT individuals of Native American ancestry and their families and friends.
